Sunbird Storage Management Opens Class A Flagship Property in Greensboro

Sunbird Storage has opened a flagship Class A new construction on Battleground Ave. in Greensboro, NC. This is a premier retail area and the city’s main thoroughfare.

The 5 story building occupies 2 acres and is approximately 91,000 gross square feet (68,000 net rentable SF)

The facility boasts 761 climate-controlled units, security cameras, personal access codes, packing supplies, dollies, and more.

The company is locally owned and operated.

The developers of the facility include Jamie Bennett, Reade DeCurtins, and Jennifer Smeeton. They are building facilities throughout North Carolina and Florida. They have developed a long-standing reputation for building Class A facilities in Canada as well and have chosen to use Bluebird Storage Management to manage their Canadian facilities and handle the day-to-day operations.

Over the past 30 years, Bluebird's Development team has developed more than 130 self-storage locations totaling 10 million square feet across North America under various strategies and brand names.

Bluebird, Canada’s only coast-to-coast self-storage brand, manages a portfolio that consists of 2 million gross square feet and 20,000 storage units. Bluebird also has a dozen new projects in the works, which will increase its portfolio to nearly four million square feet.
